Requirements to Study In Canada

Valid Passport : Students require a valid passport in order to become eligible for applying a Study visa. There must be one completely blank page other than the last page available in the passport. If possible, your passport should be valid for the duration of proposed study.

Satisfactory Proof of Finances : Students are required to provide proof of sufficient Funds at the time of Study Visa Application. This is to support student`s capability to pay tuition fees for one year and bare daily expenses.

Evidence of the purchase of a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating financial institution in the amount of $10,000 Copy of receipts showing payment of tuition fees for the entire first year.

Immigration Medical Examination : A copy of the medical examination form given to you by the Panel Physician. Students have to visit the listed doctors for a Medical examination, preferably a week before the starting of Visa Application.

Photographs You need 2 photos in accordance to the set standards authorised by the Canadian High Commission. On the back of one photo in each set, write the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo.

Letter of Acceptance : You must have a copy of a valid Letter of Acceptance from the Admissions/Registrar's Office of one of the Designated Learning Institutions in Canada while applying for study permit.

English Language Proficiency Certificate:

•    A valid IELTS test result (issued within the last two years) showing an overall band of 6.0 with no individual band lower than 6.0
•    A valid TEF test result (issued within the last two years) with a minimum score ofB2 (NCLC 7) for each ability (at least 310 for expression orale, 249 for              omprehension de l'oral, 207 for omprehension de l'ecrit, and 310 for expression ecrite)
•    A Canadian High School diploma from a recognized Canadian-curriculum high school outside of Canada

Work While You Study

•      International Students studying in Canada can work for 20 hrs per week and full time during Public holidays or Vacations.
•      Dependants (Spouse/Partner) of student can work full time.
•      Some Canadian universities and colleges provide Co-op program in which a student can work as part of the course in their related field and also earn          credits for it.
•      Students are eligible for a Post Study work permit for a period of 3 years if the study program is for a minimum period of 2 years. Otherwise the work         permit is for a period same as the duration of the course.
•      International students who have graduated from a course in Canada would gain points under the Skilled Migrant Category and may lead the path for         applying for PR.
